Centre nature et forêt Ellergronn

Where? Rue Jean-Pierre Bausch, L-4114 Esch-sur-Alzette

Experience the diversity of nature and learn more about the relationships in the nature reserves

Located 2km south of Esch and at the entrance to the Ellergronn nature reserve, this nature and forest centre is housed in the refurbished buildings of the former Cockerill mine. Here in the forest house, industrial halls and workshop spaces, the centre offers permanent exhibitions about the local natural heritage of the former coalfield, together with temporary exhibitions on the theme of nature and the challenges associated with the exploitation of natural resources. If you are in need of refreshment after a pleasant walk among the trees and green spaces, you can relax in the centre’s café-restaurants « an der Schmëdd” and “Am Zechenhaus”.
